What is Fotona 4D facelift?

Fotona 4D facelift is a non-invasive laser protocol for facial rejuvenation and tightening using the Fotona TimeWalker 4D Pro device. It combines 4 different Er:YAG (2940 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) laser modes, each treating a different skin layer. The result is comprehensive rejuvenation from surface to deep tissues without scalpel or downtime.

The protocol is suitable for patients aged 35-65 with early to moderate signs of aging: contour loss, fine to moderate wrinkles, loss of elasticity, uneven texture. We typically recommend a series of 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart and maintenance treatments 1-2x per year. Treatment price starts from CZK 8,000 per session depending on scope.

Unlike surgical facelift, we use no incisions or general anesthesia. The patient leaves immediately after the session, mild redness fades within 24-48 hours and makeup can be applied after 12-24 hours. Full collagen effect develops gradually 2-3 months after completing the series.

1. SmoothLiftin (Er:YAG intraoral)

Er:YAG 2940 nm laser applied through the oral cavity tightens skin from inside in the jawline, chin and perioral area. Stimulates collagen in the lower third of the face.

2. FRAC3 (Nd:YAG fractional)

Nd:YAG 1064 nm in non-ablative fractional mode reaches deeper skin layers. Reduces deep lines, mild pigmentation and improves skin uniformity.

3. PIANO (Nd:YAG bulk heating)

Super-long pulse Nd:YAG applied with brushing technique evenly heats the dermis. Stimulates collagen contraction and overall facial tightening.

4. SupErficial (Er:YAG light peel)

Gentle Er:YAG laser peel smooths the skin surface, improves texture and brightens the complexion. Final phase that unifies the result of the entire protocol.

Skin preparation and protective eyewear

Thorough makeup removal and disinfection. We provide special eye protection for both patient and physician. Before the intraoral phase you rinse your mouth with a disinfectant solution.

4 sequential laser phases

SmoothLiftin intraoral (15 min), FRAC3 on the face (15 min), PIANO brushing technique (15 min), SupErficial light peel (10 min). The patient feels warmth and gentle tingling.

Skin soothing and aftercare

We apply a soothing panthenol gel and SPF 50+. We discuss aftercare, scheduling the next session and a follow-up in 4-6 weeks.

Aftercare

First 48 hours: avoid sauna, solarium and intense exercise. SPF 50+ for at least 4 weeks. Avoid direct sun. Makeup can be applied after 12-24 hours. No chemical peels or retinoids for 1 week.

    No recovery. Mild redness and warmth fade within 24-48 hours. Makeup can be applied after 12-24 hours. Immediate return to normal activities.

    You will see the first effect of tighter, glowing skin within 1-2 weeks of the first session. More pronounced effect on wrinkles and contour after 2-3 sessions. Full collagen effect builds gradually 2-3 months after completing the series.

    Contraindications: pregnancy and breastfeeding, active herpes simplex without antiviral prophylaxis, isotretinoin (Roaccutane) use in the past 6 months, active inflammation or infection in the treatment area, photosensitive diseases, oncological conditions in the treatment area.

  • How to prepare for the treatment?

    Avoid intense sun exposure and solariums for 4 weeks before treatment. Stop photosensitizing medication and AHA/BHA peels 7 days before. If you have a history of herpes in the treatment area, inform us in advance for antiviral prophylaxis. Come without makeup and contact lenses.

  • Is Fotona 4D suitable for darker skin?

    Yes. Nd:YAG 1064 nm is generally safe even for darker skin types (Fitzpatrick IV-VI). For darker skin we use gentler parameters and a more detailed consultation due to the risk of transient hyperpigmentation.

  • Can it be combined with other treatments?

    Yes. Fotona 4D combines ideally with botox (2 weeks apart) for expression lines in the upper third and with hyaluronic fillers (2 weeks apart) for volume restoration. It can also be combined with biorevitalization or mesotherapy as maintenance between sessions.
