Answers to the most common questions about this procedure

  • Does lip filler application hurt?

    Modern hyaluronic acid already contains anesthetic (lidocaine), making the procedure minimally uncomfortable. Most patients describe a feeling of slight pressure. Local anesthetic cream can also be applied beforehand.

  • How long do results last?

    Results last an average of 6-12 months depending on the type of filler used, metabolism and lifestyle. To maintain optimal shape, we recommend a refresh after 8-10 months.

  • Will my lips look natural?

    Absolutely. Our goal is natural lip enhancement with respect to facial proportions. We use the Russian Lips technique for subtle, gradual enhancement without the unwanted 'duck face' effect.

  • When will I see the final result?

    You'll see immediate effects right after application. Minor swelling and asymmetry will subside within 3-7 days. The final shape and consistency of the lips will settle after 14 days, when the hyaluronic acid fully integrates into the tissue.

  • What are the side effects?

    Common side effects include mild swelling, minor bruising and lip sensitivity for 2-5 days. Asymmetry may rarely occur (we correct it free of charge within 14 days). All are temporary conditions.

  • Can I choose the lip shape?

    Yes. During consultation, we analyze your facial proportions and plan the exact shape together – from subtle volume enhancement to contour definition to more pronounced Hollywood Lips. We customize everything to your wishes.

  • How to prepare for the treatment?

    One week beforehand, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E and alcohol (thins blood → more bruising). Come without makeup. If you have herpes, inform us in advance – we'll prescribe prophylaxis.

  • Who is it not suitable for?

    Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with active herpes, autoimmune diseases, allergies to lidocaine or hyaluronan. Caution with keloid scars.

  • What if I don't like the result?

    Hyaluronic acid is fully reversible using the enzyme hyaluronidase. If for any reason you're not satisfied, we can dissolve the filler within 48 hours. This safety net is a unique advantage of HA fillers.

  • Can it be combined with other procedures?

    Yes. Ideal combination: Botox for perioral lines (smoker's wrinkles) + lip filler for comprehensive rejuvenation. Also possible with vampire facelift (PRP). Minimum 2 weeks between procedures.

  • How much filler is needed for lips?

    For natural enhancement, 0.5-1 ml is sufficient. For more noticeable volume 1-1.5 ml. For complete transformation up to 2 ml (divided into 2 sessions). We always prefer gradual volume building over sudden overdosing.

  • Post-filler care?

    48 hours: no kissing, intense exercise, sauna, alcohol. Sleep on your back the first night. Drink plenty of water. Cooling for the first 24h reduces swelling. Makeup after 24h. Lip massage strictly prohibited for 2 weeks.
